We do not recommend using screws as they cause unnecessary damage to the cabinet and the playfield can catch on them unless you counter-sink both the blade and the cabinet.

Please note that this kit should be enough to fix FIVE sets of mirror blades!

Fixing Instructions

Remove the playfield glass.

IMPORTANT: Test fit by seeing if you can insert the mirror blade down the side of the playfield - our mirror blades are only 0.7mm thick, the thinnest super mirror blades available! If they don't fit, stop now.

Raise the playfield fully and clean the insides of your cabinet, and the back of the mirror blades, with the isopropyl alcohol wipes (please follow instructions and wash hands after use!). Remember that the back of the mirror blades is the metal side, the super mirror side is under the plastic wrap! Allow them to dry before continuing.

Affix 3 x 15cm pieces of double-sided tape evenly spaced across the top of the back of both mirror blades and remove the top layer protection. Note: Our double-sided tape has an adhesion strength of 6.5N/cm2 which means you should only need as little as 4cm of tape total in theory - however we recommend to use far more to be sure, especially if you are only using the tape to fix the mirror blade.

Use a drawing pin to push through the holes along the bottom edge of the plastic.

If you are fitting Bally-Williams/JJP/CGC/DP mirror blades then also push through the plastic over the bracket bolt hole - we also recommend fixing a small strip of double-sided tape to the narrow end of these mirror blades.

Now affix strips of craft/masking/painter's tape to the plastic side of the mirror blades which will be used to hold the mirror blades in place later - it is best to position these in line with the double-sided tape.

If you are fitting Bally-Williams/JJP/CGC/DP mirror blades now remove the hinge bracket bolt on the side you are installing the mirror blade.

Carefully slot your mirror blades into place and line it up against the side leaving enough gap at the top for the glass to slide back in. Push down the craft/masking/painter's tape to hold the mirror blade in place as you line it up.

If you are fitting Bally-Williams/JJP/CGC/DP mirror blades be sure to align the bolt hole with the hole in the cabinet.

Once you are happy with the alignment of the mirror blade push down firmly where the double-sided tape strips are. Now push the drawing pins in fully to hold the mirror blades in place - if necessary tap in gently with a hammer.

Carefully peel off the plastic covering, holding it flat as you work your way across. We recommend tearing the plastic off in sections so it is easier to remove and pull through gaps close to the playfield. We also recommend starting at the back - if you are fitting Bally-Williams/JJP/CGC/DP mirror blades remember to re-fit the hinge bracket bolt once you have peeled back the plastic.

Repeat on the other side.

We strongly recommend you use our <a href="https://slampinball.com/products/artblade-protector" title="SLAM!
